From Paul Hoffman

It’s a brief TED Talk by Baratunde Thurston that’s light, funny, heart-breaking and very compelling. It’s about 15 minutes. I’d love to hear what you think after you’ve had a chance to see it. Here’s the link.

Interesting blurb about diversity in Corporate America here in my fave morning newsletter. This newsletter focuses on business both entrepreneurial and corporate, but they keep a good pulse on politics as well, particularly DEI things.

Harry Potter and The Sacred Text was the podcast I didn’t know I needed to get me through some serious reflection on the place for religion in my life. Hosted by anAtheist Jew and a UK-raised gay Christian (who didn’t grow up in the Church), this podcast is funny, serious, incredibly thoughtful, and provides a model for treating a text as sacred and living more fully because of it. Here’s a link to get you started.

From David Johnson

I’ve been trying to get my head around the term, “Systemic Racism” for over a year now. The books I’ve attempted to read are scholarly tomes that make my mind wander and just stare at the page.I stumbled across This is the Fire, by Don Lemon. I don’t necessarily align with him politically, but for the first time, I read about Racism from a First Person perspective that really hit home. I would be happy to loan the book to anyone who is interested. It’s a quick read.
