Here is an incredible exhibit that I highly recommend! I served as co-curator and have a piece there as well. It is a combination of photos, collages and fine art. ‘The Absence of Justice’ exhibition runs through December 31, 2021 at the Minnesota African American Heritage Museum and Gallery.

I first attended Myra's yoga classes at the YMCA in downtown Minneapolis, and have followed her since to other studios and online practice. Yoga with Myra is a spiritual experience. I leave a class stronger, more relaxed and flexible, but also wiser, challenged, and reflective. You can check out her blog to find her virtual class schedule, or read her thoughtful post after the death of George Floyd, or find her as a featured instructor on a new prenatal yoga app call Carry.

Gandhi Mahal Restaurant was one of the buildings seriously damaged in the aftermath of George Floyd’s murder. The owner (who is an absolutely delightful human) regrouped and opened Gandhi Mahal’s Curry in a Hurry which is now open for take out and delivery. They also cater. If you’re looking for some of the most delicious Indian street food in Minneapolis, I highly recommend giving Curry in a Hurry a try!
