Installment #2 - October 13th, 2024
In this installment of the virtual subscription, we asked our singers what the Lutheran faith and music traditions mean to them, and why they sing with the National Lutheran Choir.
What does it mean to be Lutheran?
Being a Lutheran is not a requirement to sing in the NLC, and although many of our singers identify as Lutheran, many do not.
But then why do our singers choose to sing in the National Lutheran Choir? What is it about the Lutheran music and faith traditions our singers are drawn to? When there are so many great choirs in the Twin Cities, why choose to be a part of the National Lutheran Choir?
Enjoy this video where you can hear directly from singers their various reasons for singing with the NLC.

Healing Our Legacy
All Saints Concert Livestream
Mark your calendars for Sunday, November 3rd, at 4pm CT for a concert livestream of our annual All Saints program. Tune in at NLCA.com!
At the center of this year's All Saints program is Alex Berko’s A Sacred Place, a new piece for choir, soloists, violin, cello, and piano. Works by Johannes Brahms, F. Melius Christiansen, Elaine Hagenberg, and Caroline Shaw connect love and grief through the lens of nature. We examine how faith and music intersect the legacy we leave for generations to come.
