Healing for our Future

Sunday, May 4th at 4pm | Central Lutheran Church, Minneapolis

Free Concert Livestream at NLCA.com

Join us for our final concert program of the season, Healing for our Future, an honest yet hopeful examination of the realities of gun violence in our schools. This program of musical and text offerings seeks to unite our communities to diminish the harm caused by violence in our schools, and express our hopeful determination for a better future.

What you can expect from this concert experience

A reflective, moving concert of music and spoken word.

  • Hear singers of all ages joining together to sing music that acknowledges our shared grief about senseless gun violence in our schools, and expresses our collective hope for a safer future for students and teachers.

  • Listen to the words of high school students about the threat of school gun violence and how it affects their daily lives.

  • Reflect on the concert experience through a trauma-informed discussion held after the concert.

Many voices sharing music together in community.

We will be joined by partners:

A healing experience filled with rich music.

  • WORLD PREMIERE performance of There is a Way by Melissa Dunphy,

  • Requiem by Joshua Clausen,

  • Agnus Dei by Samuel Barber,

  • Darest, O Soul by Marí Esabel Valverde,
