The Holy Spirit Mass

THE highlight of our year was the World Premiere of Kim André Arnesen’s Holy Spirit Mass, first in Washington D.C. and later in the Twin Cities. Late October found the Choir singing in the splendor and ecumenical beauty of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception—in front of dignitaries from the Roman Catholic, Evangelical Lutheran, and Missouri Synod Lutheran churches.

Singing to the nation

September 2017 saw the Choir travel to the Pacific Northwest (Seattle, Tacoma, Portland, and Salem) to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. For our first trip to this region of the country, we were astonished by all of the local support: from concert attendees to massed choir participants, Lutherans in the Pacific Northwest SHOWED UP and showed us what the “Re-forming Church” really means.

Gala 2018

After a monumental year of premieres and touring, the National Lutheran Choir and it's patrons braved the historic April blizzard of 2018 to raise a record breaking $175,000 for our future endeavors. We are truly humbled and amazed by our patrons' excitement for the work we do, the music we sing, and the mission we uphold. Join us in topping off the tank after a year of milestones!

Will you help the National Lutheran Choir continue its work, and embrace all that lies ahead?
