"Live Into the Mystery"
Christmas Festival: Mysterious Birth
This cherished annual event creates a holy experience for audiences in the awe-inspiring Basilica of Saint Mary in Minneapolis. The National Lutheran Choir’s Christmas Festival sings the story of Christ’s mysterious birth through an array of poetry, exquisite choral music, and carols sung by all. Removing the listener from time and space, Mysterious Birth paints a tapestry of sound, worship, and joy that allows for the true meaning of Christmas to take center stage.

Spring Concert: Light and Dark
So often a shroud of darkness forms around those living under an iron fist, but music is the light that flickers, maintains, and grows despite the circumstances. Light and Dark explores the music of Equatorial regions and the dark north of Europe. Influenced by each culture’s unique climate– where cold night breeds mystery and the warm sun imbues a particular colorfulness– music fills the role of storytelling in a unique and fascinating way.
